Crimes against music!

I was in ASDA today as I needed to do some shopping. While I was casually walking round the store I was listening half-heartedly to ASDAfm, the nationwide radio station that plays in all their stores. Usually the music is rubbish modern stuff, R+B mostly (and even then, mostly Akon) but occasionally they play a great peice of classic rock that has me singing along as I walk down the isles.

Today was no exception. As I was perusing the baked beans they played We Built This City by Starship, a singalong classic. It wouldn't have been so bad if the I'd have been able to listen to the whole song but theyput three tanoy announcements about bargins in isle 11 (the baby section) over the top, coinciding with the chorus as if it were intentional!

The worst thing about this however is that this classic piece was followed by 2 become 1 by The Spice Girls! Seriously, they should fire their DJ......

It's safe to say that having that song stuck in my head has killed my afternoon. Thank you very much ASDAfm!
